“Van der Valk Nootdorp” hotel (The Hague) in the Netherlands is located just at the motorway exit. Free parking (paying in underground garage).

At first glance, the hotel looks like a block of concrete, but once inside it is quite attractive. Nice common areas, nice bar (very cold with air conditioning) and restaurant.

The rooms are very spacious and clean. All comfort is available. Air conditioning in the room. A swimming pool on the roof of the hotel gives a nice view of the whole neighborhood.

As for the restaurant : friendly room staff but very rushed. It does not give you a relaxed feeling to stay because apparently everything has to go fast fast fast. About the dishes themselves, we were not convinced at all, especially not price/quality. Asian dishes on the menu where the flavor combination are not top notch. Cuissons also not 100%. Price/quality not top.

We visited this hotel twice in our travels. Twice had very unfriendly reception staff, and the same person each time. We even had to call in the manager. Are we not really used to a “Van der Valk”.
