Restaurant “Va Bene” is located 5 minutes on foot from the Congress Hotel Hannover and from the “Zoo Hannover”.

Actually, that is a restaurant/tavern opened at the foot of the Hanover Tennis Club so we held our hearts when we got there.

The style? None… from the outside you see nothing Italian, inside different styles, warm colors in the beginning but the rest of the room is empty and unsociable. You can sit outside if the weather is nice, next to the green field where you sit there is a public swimming pool.

As for the food : we have never eaten so badly! We took a grilled steak at more than 30 euros the dish. The meat stank, full of sinews and mucus, inedible. The vegetables with it were bland and cooked through. You don’t even get a side dish (pasta for example) for that price.

We ordered a “homemade ravioli.” We were convinced that this one was not homemade. The filling was bland, not seasoned, was heavy on the stomach. The sauce was also very watery (frozen and microwaved?). We then decided to try a plain “spaghetti bolognaise”. This one had a little more flavor but was super greasy and again the pasta bathed in water. Also way too spicy. Do they serve this to children? My daughter took another dessert, some kind of homemade tiramisu. Not tasty at all and also flavors that did not belong together at all.

The service was also very thin. Not super friendly. What we noticed, it profiles as an “Italian” restaurant, but everyone was eating fries with nuggets and others. That says enough then…

This address should definitely be avoided!!!
