Restaurant situated in a quiet location, with a beautiful view of the land of “Avalon” and the roller coaster, the “Fénix”. It is nice to sit on the terrace as well as inside. Beautiful decorations with appropriate music.

What immediately caught our eye on the menu card were the “Proefplanken” and we immediately went for the largest “Proefplank ” with meat, fish and vegetables. The card shows a price for two people and a (more)price if you take one separately. We ordered one for 5, and got a platter for 4. With very few vegetables, actually enough for 2 people and 2 items described on the menu were unavailable. We therefore asked whether a responsible person could come by. The two things that were short, they admitted that the ingredients were no longer there, the rest of the “shortages” were correct, so to speak. So the price stayed the same, and we got a plank for 4 instead of 5. Shame also about the shortness of the kitchen staff and the ignorance of the manager on duty at the time.

If we now analyze the “Proefplanken”. Is this a good concept? Absolutely great! However, the quality of the ribs is on the poor side, a bizarre aftertaste lingers, the vegetables are a frozen mix (which was lukewarm) and the fish in papillot was dried out.
