Hotel located about 12 minutes from Wuppertal Zoo. Quietly situated in a hilly landscape, next to a nature reserve. Outdoor parking (free) and covered open parking (free). Hotel in two parts, main building and also rooms on the other side. Older hotel.
Friendly receptionists, smooth check in. No elevator, no airconditioning in the rooms. We had a family room which was very spacious in two separate areas. Clean and hygienic but a bit outdated.
Small outdated bar (not cozy to sit in). Restaurant had an old and a new part (cozy to sit). We ate here a typical schnitzel (average quality), a baked potato with chicken and lettuce (smooth, good taste) and a specialty of the house: a mixed grill (nice fresh salad, meat very dry on the other hand).
The pool was small but cozy and very clean. Cold water.
