“Bioparc Zoo Doué la Fontaine” is a more than remarkable zoo. The zoo is completely buried in rock and is divided into two parts.

Yes, there is a floor to this zoo! Elevators are provided for wheelchair users. The rocks give an enormous atmosphere, nowhere else in the world can you see such a thing. Here you have the largest aviary in Europe, and we can assure you, this one is gigantic with a huge bird collection. Here you can also get really close to some animals. Nice adventurous hiking trails through the rocks and mountains.

This zoo was chosen as the 2nd best zoo in Europe!

Tips

We had a nice BBQ with a view of the giraffes. Beautiful view and cozy sitting in good weather. Price / quality ok.
Please note that the facilities can almost only be found at the entrance.
